Sign Up for Tableau Public

You must create a Tableau Public account before working with the tool.

Steps

  1. Visit the Tableau Public website:
    https://public.tableau.com/

  2. Click Sign In (top right).

  3. Click Create one now.

  4. Enter your:

    • Email
    • Name
    • Password

  5. Accept the terms and click Create account.

  6. Check your email and verify your Tableau account.
    Verification is required before you can publish dashboards.

Download Tableau Public from the official website:
https://public.tableau.com/app/discover

Choose the installer for your operating system:

  • Windows (Tableau Public for Windows)
  • macOS (Tableau Public for Mac)

Windows Installation

Installation Steps

  1. Download the installer (.exe).
  2. Run the installer.
  3. Accept the license agreement.
  4. Keep the default installation options.
  5. Launch Tableau Public after installation.

Verify Installation

Open Tableau Public from the Start Menu.
If the application launches without errors, the setup is complete.
