Tableau Public

You must create a Tableau Public account before working with the tool.

Steps

  1. Visit the Tableau Public website: here Login
  2. Click Sign In (top right).
  3. Click Create one now.
  4. Enter your:
    • Email
    • Name
    • Password
    • Choose: Student
  5. Accept the terms and click: Create account.
  6. Check your email and verify your Tableau account Verification is required before you can publish dashboards.

Download Tableau Public

Click on the Create button sellect Tableau Public in order to effectively publish our dashboards there

Select the corresponding operating sysem

Tableau Desktop

Our main dashboard development application is going to be Tableau Desktop. Once we have created the final dashboard, we are going to open it via Tableau Public and publish into your public account.

Sign Up to Tableau

Download Tableau Desktop Public Edition from the official website

This time you need to sign out into Tableau account.

As soon as you signed up go to Products and download Tableau Desktop

Dowload Tableau Desktop

Choose the installer for your operating system:

  • Windows (Tableau Public for Windows)
  • macOS (Tableau Public for Mac)
